Kangol

Officially born in Cleator, Cumbria in the UK, Kangol gained notoriety as a brand to provide caps to the British Army in World War II, particularly for General Bernard Montgomery. The Anglo tradition continued in the post-war years when Kangol equipped the English Olympic team with caps for the opening ceremonies of 1948.The most influential youth icons of the 1960s were the Beatles. In 1964, Kangol Wear gained the exclusive right to produce and distribute around the world any headgear featuring the Beatles' image, endorsement, or name. This began to increase the brand’s credibility in the music world of the 1960s.
